The city also has many festivals. The famous ones include King’s Day, Holland Festival for performing arts, Amsterdam Gay Pride; The Cannabis Cup; and the Uitmarkt. The annual Uitmarkt is a three-day cultural event that begins during the late August. It offers previews of many different artists, such as musicians and poets, who perform on podia. Amsterdam is home of the Eredivisie football club AFC Ajax. Amsterdam has two American football franchises: the Amsterdam Crusaders and the Amsterdam Panthers.
